  As an ESL Instructor I provided high-quality English lessons to children in China ages four to eighteen. I provide a welcoming and interesting classroom environment to stimulate learning. I strive to connect with my students, even though we are on opposites sides of the word. I focus my lesson around appropriate articulation, intonation and grammatical structure to increase the child's awareness and confidence in speaking the English language.   During my clinical placement at the skilled nursing facility I provided therapy targeting aphasia, dysphagia, apraxia of speech, and cognitive deficits. I completed dysphasia and cognitive assessments using the bedside swallow assessment and SLUMS. I worked closely with the nutrition team, nursing staff, physical therapists and occupational therapist to provide holistic approaches to treatment.
