Post within the Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (EAC) Unit R2 "Budget, Planning & Reporting" DG EAC develops and carries out the Commission's policies on Culture and media, Sport, Education and training and Youth. As Bluebook Trainee, my tasks are the following: ● Contribution in the day-to-day budget planning and programming for the three DG EAC programmes: Creative Europe (333 million), Erasmus+ (4.04 billion) and European Solidarity Corps (144 million). ● Participation in the hearing of DG EAC before the Committee on Culture and Education of the European Parliament (January 2023): - Role of note taker: sitting in the delegation and drafting session report; - Drafting and formatting of the presentation concerning the distribution of budgetary credits for the year 2023 for Creative Europe, Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes. ● Involvement in the closing of the 2022 budget and last transfer operations of the year. ● Preparation of EAC work programmes in the budget year 2023 (Erasmus+, Creative Europe and European Solidarity Corps). ● Working as an assistant to the Head of Unit: writing notes and preparing presentations. ● EAC interlocutor with DG Budget in the digitalisation exercise of the budget line delegation process. ● Editing my unit's intranet: - Writing articles to inform European Commission staff about the activities of our unit, in particular regarding our monitoring of the negotiations between the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union on the drafting of the EU budget; - Development of the structure of my unit's pages, coding in HTML.

The Solidaris Institute is a Belgian survey institute specialised in the non-profit sector, which interviews more than 30,000 people per year. Its mission is twofold: to conduct surveys among the 3,000,000 Solidaris members and, more generally, among the Belgian and French populations. As a tele-interviewer, my tasks were the following: ● Conducting qualitative surveys during telephone interviews ranging from 15 minutes to 1 hour. ● In particular, I was involved in collecting data for the 2016, 2018 and 2020 editions of the Confidence and Wellbeing Barometer. ● Making proposals to improve the questionnaire in order to make it more relevant.
