I led product engineering teams for multiple financial services products with a focus on providing solutions for the unbanked and underbanked. While in the role, I contributed to technology due diligence; presenting to potential investors with regard to technology capabilities. An investment of more than $250 million allowed an opportunity to work with exponential growth, scaling the product and the platform to serve millions of customers. I managed ongoing development of the company's flagship consumer wallet application and associated enterprise disbursement solutions as well as an agent based remittance product. In total, I managed three separate products, all running on the company’s primary platform: ● PayMaya’s primary wallet app, with direct integrations to VISA and Mastercard and the local ATM network; I developed micro-lending functionality, QR payment system, processes for integrating with local lenders, and alternate borrowing capacity analysis methodologies (including telephone billing and PayMaya’s own transaction histories). ● Smart Padala, the largest domestic remittance network with over 26,000 remittance agents to transfer money domestically; I coordinated modernisation to facilitate inclusion of a range of new features for the agents to expand their offerings. ● PayMaya Payout, a unique disbursement solution to allow enterprises to disperse funds for their payroll and institutions (such as schools and local government units) to disperse funds for scholarships, and allowances.
