My responsibilities as a CNA at the Petaluma Post Acute Rehab facility include assisting 8-10 patients per shift with their activities of daily living such as personal hygiene care and bathing, feeding, transferring, dressing, toileting, and bed mobility. Mr. Lipton had a stroke 4 years ago and I teach him how to read, write, and complete tasks around the house. During our learning sessions, I create activities or worksheets with letter matching, math problems, and problem-solving scenarios. I also take him to his appointments, go on walks with him, and prepare meals for him. He has trouble with his memory and I help him organize his calendar and remind him of any previous conversations he has had. I have been working with him for almost two years but recently started working with him as a CNA. Show less
