      I have four major achievements during my duration as a USM Fellowship holder. a) Research - Developed research objective and proposal and undertook appropriate research to identify anti-cancer compounds from natural products. - Discovery of compounds isolated from the plant Phyllanthus niruri and Irvingia malayana and the proof that these compounds were critical in blocking the tumor specific angiogenic effect. - 6 Publications and presentations in international peer-reviewed journals and several international conferences. b) Teaching and learning support - Contributed to the development of Year 1 and 2 undergraduate students' research skills by involved in the teaching of the laboratory practical class. c) Managing people - Provided guidance as required to support the junior team members and students. - Managed research and administrative activities in the lab. d) Planning and managing resource - Assisted in setting up of the cell culture laboratory
