  A summer job with varying tasks from the backlog related to control systems for the powertrain. Work involved static code analysis to identify code constructs not compliant with MISRA C, a coding standard used in embedded industries. These warnings were then fixed by rethinking and rewriting production code. I also developed a new tool in python to facilitate testing of the Cam/Crank sensors by controlling the engine speed using a graphical user interface. This tool added flexibility and reduced cost compared to the previous solution consisting of dedicated hardware. Show less

  An internship through Tekniksprånget (Technology Leap) which is a program run by the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) with the goal to give the intern a better understanding of the engineering profession and develop an interest in engineering studies. The job revolved around processing data from different internal systems and writing VBA-scripts to automate workflow. Volvo Cars gave me good understanding of large-scale technical product development and the importance of collaboration and communication in order to make use of a company's collective but department-separated competence.
