  Based at their busy Sullom Voe office, I worked as an agent as part of the Hays team who enjoyed the majority of the tanker activity at Sullom Voe providing port agency to the tankers loading Brent Crude, also handling LPG exports and laterally also importing Schiehallion crude, via specialized shuttle tankers, and Clair crude via pipe. Also supported various pipe projects and offshore activity out of Sullom Voe to subsea contractors, and was the main agent involved in the FPSO Schiehallion lay by call to Sullom Voe 1997, a very detailed project involving multiple tow tugs and detailed requirements for the FPSO itself to be ready for installation. During this time also supported the busy Hay and Company, Lerwick operation in multiple offshore calls and projects as well as other vessel types. Show less

  First job leaving school, immediate exposure to the full spectrum of the maritime industry, heavily involved in the agency and logistics support to the large fish factory vessel fleets transshipping from UK and Irish trawlers off the coast of Lerwick, also travelled to support these activities to other ports in Scotland, Ireland and South Coast England. My time at Shearers also saw me involved in offshore oil and gas projects and port calls - cable, seismic, EERV and supply base activities out of Lerwick and other ports in Shetland, also saw my first attendance to vessels at Sullom Voe Oil Terminal loading Brent Crude Oil.
