  Since July 2022, I have been the Inland Regional Manager for Noon Gun Brewery. Based in Gauteng, I oversee all operations of the company, from the management of stock levels in Gauteng through to sales and distribution of the products. We have 3 brands we focus on: 1) Noon Gun Craft Beer 2) Ginnic RTD gin & tonic 3) Uplift Kombucha I manage a set group of my own customers, with Shoprite Checkers being the biggest customer. We are in 107 Checkers Liquor outletsin the region. Further to the management of Key Accounts, I also manage relationships with our re-distributors, namely Norman Goodfellows, DistriLiq and Zwakala Distributors. Growing the brands in the Gauteng region specifically is one of my key roles. I strategically align with brands, events, people and venues to elevate our brand awareness in my region. Further to this, I run all events and functions that we attend. In my first year with the company, I got the brands into the following well known and attended festivals and events: 1) Das Okotoberfest at Deutsche Schule Pretoria 2) Then Clarens Beer Festival 3) Benoni Craft Beer Festival 4) Capital Craft Beer Festival 5) Lindenfees All the above events have been a resounding success for our brands, and we have been invited back to them for their next festivals. The brewery’s roots go back to when its founders, two proudly South African beer drinkers, realized they shared the same passion for the business of brewing beer. The journey started modestly in 2012 when the first home brew recipes were born. This evolved over the next two years, through many long discussions and many beers around the braai, to the Mainstream Brewing Company today, rooted in quality and a professional approach to all things beer. South Africa is a beer drinking nation, where beer will be found at any social gathering. Life’s experiences and our travels worldwide have taught us that South Africa is thirsty for craft beer and the thirst is still growing! The name, MAINSTЯEAM BREWING COMPANY ( reversed “Я”), was selected for a few reasons: The word “mainstream” can be defined as: “Mainstream is what’s the new trend. When one “style” gets old, a new one is reborn, a mainstream person is someone who embraces new trends, thus creating and contributing to the journey of life. The reversed “Я” in Mainstream indicates a little change/something different, not only in the name, but also in the beers we will be brewing. Part of our logo, the Salmon, is there to entrench this founding cornerstone.
