Plan, co-ordinate, supervise and report upon the work activities of a team, providing effective communication, leadership, motivation, training & development. Supporting the Shift Leader in achieving warehouse operational KPI's. Secondment Shift Leader managing a shift operation in the warehouse through effective leadership of upto 15 Team Leaders and 120 Team Members, supporting the Operations Manager in achieving the warehouse operational KPI's. At present have a Direct team of 13 colleagues who I engage with in 121 meetings every week to discuss performance, Health & Safety and continuous improvement ideas. A process confirmation is carried out against the current Work Instruction with each colleague once a month to ensure standardization is achieved and correct training is maintained. Drove exceptionally high Safety levels which resulted in the contract receiving a ROSPA award in consecutive years. Continuous Improvement using LEAN methodology, which drives an engaged workforce to provide results through standardization.

Warehouse Colleague

Responsible for the day to day running of the Pick and Despatch departments in a busy warehouse distribution operation. Collated and produced performance indicators on colleagues and provided data to the Warehouse Manager to enable active performance management. Progress chaser ensuring daily despatch compliance was above 99.2% in full. Involved in liaising with 2 operations (manufacture & warehouse) to chase all incomplete orders. Provide 1 to 1 interviews with out of work members of the public to ensure eligability for benefits have been achieved, by ensuring he/she has adhered to the Government outlined laws, where not achieved arranging the withdrawal of benefits. Provide a service to the public whereas to identify suitable employment for the correct people and facilitate their application for the vacancies. Provided a Job Match service for long term unemployed clients.
