I focus my duties on studying aircraft systems requisites to implement new fuel cell technology onboard, as well as defining any required tests to demonstrate its performance. Dealing with certification of equipments for civil aircrafts is also part of my job (CS/FAR 25, EUROCAE, SAE AIR/ARP standards...).

    • Thermal Control for space systems trainee at INTA (Instituto Nacional de Técnica Aeroespacial)
      • Nov 2016 - Nov 2018

Trainee focused on the optimization of thermal models and the understanding of power transmission and dissipation within engineering systems, in particular for space applications. Among the space programs I have collaborated with, can be mentioned UVAS (an instrument for ultraviolet atmospheric measurements, in cooperation with CSIC) and ATHENA (a cryostat to host an X-ray spectrometer, in cooperation with CNES).

I did my master´s thesis titled "Thermal balance test on UPM-Sat 2" at Instituto de Microgravedad Ignacio da Riva (IDR/UPM). It was based on the thermal control subsystem of the microsatellite UPM-Sat 2. My principle duty was to correlate the thermal-mathematical model (TMM) by means of a thermal balance test inside a vacuum chamber. For this purpose I took part in the assembly and integration of the structural-thermal model (STM). I gathered and processed data from the balance test to support the official documents of the TMM model correlation. Show less

I participated in the 15th edition of the CVA organised by Arianespace and the European Space Agency (ESA). This three-week summer course gathers the best aerospace students from top universities around Europe to get in touch with the latest space projects. After being selected over hundreds of students in Spain, I had the opportunity to participate in a cutting-edge Project titled "Asteroid Missions". In a group of five international students, we researched the asteroids that are classified as dangerous for the planet (in different grades). We further discussed in what way they could be deflected before colliding with the Earth. This Project was finally presented to a board of experts who rewarded us with an excellent result. As part of this worthy experience, we visited the European Space Port in Kourou (French Guyane) in March 2015. During a week we got in touch with the different teams in charge of the assembly, integration, verification, test and launch of the Ariane and Soyuz Projects. This 15th CVA course was organised by Professor Jean-Luc Bozet (University of Liège) and Briguitte de Deine (CVA international relations department). The lectures we held with experts were about different topics related to the space industry: - Launcher Strategies in Europe (Leandro Sánchez de la Rosa, ESA) - Spacecraft and Lauch System Interfaces (Laurent Jourdainne, Arianespace) - Launcher Propulsion: Structural Aspects in Booster Design (Reinhold Pernpeintner, MT Aerospace) - Access to Space: 2030 & Future Manned Flights (Marc Toussaint, ESA) - Liquid Propulsion (Alain Pyre, SAFRAN) - Guidance, Navigation and control Avionics (Jean Desmariaux, CNES) Show less
