Collaborating with Ph.D. students and PIs (Iring Bigio, Tara Moore, Douglas Rosene) to image myelin breakdown in rhesus monkey stroke tissues to analyze the effects of an EV treatment on cortical injury and recovery. Tasks included using birefringence microscopy to acquire label-free images of myelinated axons in brain sections and conducting image analysis to quantify the effects of induced stroke on axon degradation and breakdown.
