Key accomplishments:• As the lead grant administrator and professional advocate for the city, I was directly responsible for over $65 million in improvements and grant awards. • Planned, programmed, established a partnership with the Orange County Department of Education, and successfully obtained funding for the Mendez Tribute Monument Park and Mendez Freedom Trail Projects.• Ensured the construction of new infrastructure and staff time recovery funding for the OCTA I-405 Freeway Improvement Project in the amounts of $25 million and $3 million, respectively. • Ensured OCTA Measure “M” and “M2” eligibility compliance, secured award and allocation of grant funding for Local, Regional, and State Programs.• Represented the city’s interest and acted as the city’s engineering representative by influencing major regional improvements including the OCTA SR-22 Freeway Improvement Project, OCTA West County Connectors Improvement Project, OCTA I-405 Freeway Improvement Project, and served as a voting member on various OCTA Program Committees.• Obtained a Caltrans Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant in the amount of $470k to develop the city’s first-ever Westminster Safe Routes to School Plan.
