August 2021 was the month which was open to work for most of the construction work after covid-19 pandemic. It was necessary to do internship wherever we would get the best opportunity. I was appointed as a supervisor to one of the site under the Design Arcade consultancy, Architect Kiran Dhawale as a part of internship of 42 days. My job was to study the the plan and reinforcement design and to execute the work according to it in time. I had to note every detail of site such as working hours, men appointed for specific work at day, work completed, to forecast the required time to complete the activity, to help worker in technical issue in absence of architecture, to hear the problems of workers and convey it to owner and architecture, also to convey message from higher authorities to workers, to note any injury or accident happened on site, to discuss ideas for betterment of construction site, to note material brought on site and used every day, to measure the everyday work and note in the seperate measurement book, to take out flaws and make them corrected through workers. Beside all this I had also practice the communication skill to talk within that environment and manage various situations. Dealing with various people in various situations was one of the most important skill I learn. This internship helped me to understand the difference between theoretical and practical knowledge to execute the work. Show less
