This personal training project consists of implementing the infrastructure of two Java based microservices that communicate with each other and are deployed on multiple nodes in a redundant way using continuous delivery concepts. Main technical challenges: - Everything must run in a Docker container. - Only one of the two microservices can be accessed from the internet but the communication between them must be possible in both directions. - Automated build and deployment procedures. - Staging. Solutions: - All tools and applications (Java Spring Boot apps, Nginx, Jenkins, Jfrog Artifactory, Rundeck) used are deployed in Docker containers. - Nginx is configured for load balancing and network access mechanism. - Jenkins builds git projects and uploads the artefacts to Jfrog repository. - Rundeck configured with Ansible scripts will deploy artefacts found in Jfrog to different environments in a way that the downtime is 0.
