Taking charge of Facebook Tel-Aviv's analytics team in late 2013, Adi quickly scoped out a roadmap that was agreed upon by key stakeholders and the leadership team. Adi then took on a hands-on role in turning that roadmap into a reality; supervising, critiquing and closing the instrumentation loop for all of our apps and services. Adi has also been particularly impressive in facilitating growth for the apps we build in Facebook Tel-Aviv. After several years working as a manager, I missed getting my hands data-dirty. I therefore transitioned to a professional track. During the time I worked on Facebook Lite the app was adopted by over 400 Million MAU - more than Facebook's iOS app. By leveraging data we were able to quantify the effect performance (speed and reliability) and different product features have on people's satisfaction, and invest resources effectively. My work also helped shape Facebook's growth strategy in emerging markets. My analyses on mobile web usage and low-end iPhones were the foundation for establishing new teams solving for these problems.I continued leading Facebook's TLV initiatives around data culture (e.g. organizing cross-site data camps) and experimentation, as well as contributing to hiring and training.
