Right now telecom networks are provided by centralized providers like AT&T, Verizon, etc. They use proprietary hardware and deployed billions of dollars of capital to create the necessary infrastructure to provide cellular connectivity. We are going to change that! We are going to create a global wireless network using the decentralized network built on open source software and commodity hardware. We at Emrit started with a capital of $25,000 buying Helium hotspots to create a wireless network in the Metro Atlanta area. Helium hotspots have coverage in miles rather than feet and the sensors have battery life in years rather than days. We are going to connect all the IoT devices in the Metro Atlanta area through our hotspots and provide data connectivity. This will enable us to create smart cities and various uses cases like tracking objects, monitoring devices, etc. The first application we are going to create is tracking e-scooters. Show less
