Kai and I worked hand-in-hand as designer and engineer on many projects. Our team was lauded for being the fastest in the company. Much of that can be directly attributed to Kai's willingness and capacity to learn his peers styles and processes, and then put in the extra effort to adapt and meet their needs before they have to ask. This was certainly the case for me, making Kai an immeasurable asset. I would gladly work with Kai again, and fully recommend him.

Dumitru Șișianu

I've had the pleasure of working with Kai on several games over the course of a year. His hardworking nature, eagerness to learn from feedback, and commitment to his team's success are truly inspiring. He's the kind of guy you can trust to get the job done, and done well - as he always goes the extra mile in his strive for excellency. Beyond that, Kai is a genuine friend, that made our workplace a truly enjoyable space. Any team would be fortunate to have him on board.

This is my capstone project, the final culmination of all my work at Humber college. Betrayed those most close to them, the disembodied spirit of long forgotten samurai vow revenge upon those who wronged them. An oath that binds them even in the afterlife. Take control of a suit of armour and battle other players in a duel to the death. I am responsible for managing, planning and directing the entire process of the creation of this project from designing and pitching concepts to gathering resources and team members to scheduling weekly scrum/work meetings and follow-ups for ensuring constant growth. We will be presenting our work at the Humber showcase on the 27th of March at 6 PM in the Humber College Art Commons as well as at Level Up 2018. We would love to show you our work in person. Take the place of an alien race, your mission, abduct as many earthling specimen as possible before your rival race. Traverse a spherical planet collecting cows and chickens for points or attacking a networked opponent to claim victory on the Cattlefront.I was responsible for helping direct and programmatically implement the core conceptual and visual structure of the game as well as contribute to core decisions regarding managing our two class team and finally creating the game's background music. My role was also pivotal to readying the project for three separate showcases including Level Up 2017 while helping manage a massive group of individuals to work together for a common goal. I must admit that this experience was one of the most rewarding of any project I've had the honour to direct. Show less

You find yourself abandoned on a mysterious island under blankets of heavy fog. As you explore the island's unusual habitat you come to find it littered with intricate and fatal traps designed to keep you away from something. Explore a simple, dark and mysterious atmosphere, solving puzzles to advance forth in a frantic chase for a curious and deadly mystery. This game was created during the twelveth Toronto Game Jam by 5 people. Besides level design, musical composition and art direction, I was tasked with importing and configuring assets, coding, debugging and testing core game elements as well as most sound effects in the game. This is an exhilirating and competitive multiplayer platformer that pits anthropromorphic root vegetables, who's likeness is achingly familiar, against each other in a race to the death! In this project, I helped lead a team of five including me, at the second Peterborough Game Jam, February 21-23, 2017, towards creating this marvellous creation. I was responsible for making all the animations and 3d art for the game as well as helping design, code and test the core mechanics of the gameplay. I was also charged with composing all the music in the game throughout the 2 day period. Show less

This game is a colorful and rhythmic multiplayer experience combining the cherished mechanics of rock, paper, scissors with the energetic game flow of modern rhythm games. Each player controls three lanes that synchronize with an attractive original soundtrack, sending out waves of polygonal shapes, each with a weakness and a strength over the others. Send these colorful minions to the beat of awesome music to break your opponents defenses and become a master of the Cadescent Aether. This game was created during the 2017 Global Game Jam January 20-22, where I helped lead a team of 4 game programmers, including me, towards this wonderful result. I was responsible for all animations, 2d and 3d art for this game excluding UI elements as well as all sounds, music and graphics related programming. Show less
