Founded shortly after the World War II, the Union of European Federalists (UEF) is a non-governmental and supranational organisation dedicated to the promotion of a democratic and federal Europe. It consists of 24 constituent organisations and it has been active at the European, national and local levels for more than 65 years. As Project Officer for the Union of European Federalists (UEF), I work in the team of the UEF European secretariat and of the Spinelli Group secretariat.Event management (up to 300 participants for the UEF Congress) represents a crucial part of my daily work, with tasks including: strategic planning, partnerships, content writing (programme, webpage, invitations), budgeting, logistics and relationships with speakers. My work as Membership officer consists in implementing the membership strategy of the organization while maintaining and developing relationships with existing member sections and individual members.

The Directorate-General for Communication (DG COMM) communicates the political nature of the institution and the work carried out by its Members. Its core business is to raise awareness of the European Parliament, its powers, its decisions, and activities among media, stakeholders and the general public, bringing the work of the Institution closer to citizens on both centralised and decentralised levels.As schuman trainee, I worked for the DG communication, Directorate of relation to citizens, Parlamentarium unit (European Parliament's visitors' centre). I researched marketing strategies for local and international targets, organized and implemented outreach activities, assisted in the organization of events (place aux enfants, krokuskriebels week, etc.), drafted documents for internal communication and blog posts and assisted in administrative tasks like tender processes.

The Committee of Ministers is the Council of Europe’s statutory decision-making body. Its role and functions are broadly defined in Chapter IV of the Statute. It is made up of the Ministers for Foreign Affairs of member States. The Committee meets at ministerial level once a year and at Deputies' level (Permanent Representatives to the Council of Europe) weekly. During my traineeship at the Permanent Representation of Belgium to the Council of Europe, I attended high-level meetings, drafted reports, executed outreach projects, and was responsible for media monitoring. I also worked in the team in charge of the preparation of the Belgian chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers at the Council of Europe.This project included:- Event management: planning, partnerships and logistic assistance- Social media management: creation and administration of a Twitter account, a Facebook page and a Storify account, live-reporting, planning through Buffer and Hootsuite
