During my time in the position I managed the development and implementation of the following types of projects:1) scientific research projects 2) development of 55 projects for 4 different climate funds (Green Climate Fund, Global Environment Facility, Adaption Fund and Least Developed Countries Fund) for 6 different high-level international clients (United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the Food and Agricultural Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), private firms such as CarbonPlus Capital, and national governments)3) mid-term reviews of GEF funded projects. Tasks included: i) reviewing relevant project documents including PIRs, HYRs, Prodoc, Result Framework and indicators, etc.; ii) conducting interviews with relevant project partners and beneficiaries to assess strengths and weaknesses in the project so far; iii) preparing two MTR reports which include a critical analysis and evaluation of the project design, progress towards results, implementation arrangements and sustainability; and vi) formulating actionable recommendations to facilitate progress towards end-of-project targets.
