Participate in design input, review and verification, and liaise with consultants and contractors as applicable and appropriate, to achieve sustainable outcomes that meet operation and maintenance objectives.

  I am currently working as Project Engineer with Rio Tinto Iron Ore in the Pilbara, WA. My role is based at Brockman 4 in the Greater Brockman Projects Team and reports to the Superintendent of Projects and Engineering. My role primarily focuses on Capital Expenditure projects but not limited to, which include: - Creating Project Briefs, Bluesheets, CEA's to seek funding approval to initiate the project. - Create Scopes of works for tender, evaluate tender submissions and award contract. - Engage and manage contractors on site to successfully deliver projects on schedule and within budget in accordance with Rio Tinto Specifications. - Complete a risk assessment showing the risks before & after the project is completed. - Provide engineering and technical support around site. I am committed to sustainable career development and learning from the experienced professionals in the mining and resource industry in Engineering, Procurement and Construction.   During my time with Thursday Island Regional Council- Engineering Services Team, I was in charge of the NDRRA (Natural Disaster Relief Rearrangement and Authority) projects. It is government funded to maintain and repair all damaged infrastructure such as Ports, Seawalls, Roads, Culverts and Airport that was damaged due to natural disasters around the Torres Strait Islands. My role included scheduling, planning and scoping works for the NDRRA Civil Construction crew and also get hands-on practical experience being on site with them.
