• Modeled dynamic system behaviour logic for the KINARM stroke assessment robot using Matlab scripts, Simulink, and Stateflow. • Designed an analogue to the Modified Ashworth spasticity test protocol for KINARM software and hardware. • Adapted the in-house Simulink/Stateflow PID controller block to allow for smooth control of the robot’s joint angles. • Developed a Java Swing application that integrates with a DB2 SQL database used for storing patient assessment and experimental data. • Implemented PDF report generation and printing of specific assessments from within the application; a much-requested upgrade. • Squashed bugs; worked on improvements to the GUI, leading to improved ease of use as reported by therapists.
