      The Samuel Huntington Fund and Cohen Public Service Award supported a yearlong project aimed at reincorporating and strengthening Native Hawaiian environmental and cultural practices on the Hawaiian island of Kaua’i. Major aspects of the project included an environmental law and policy campaign to recognize the rights of nature at a state and county level, coral reef restoration and education, Native Hawaiian cultural and environmental education, and community outreach and presentations.
