I had the good fortune to become acquainted with Antara Das during the summer of 2018 when she came to work for our company (HBD/Thermoid, Inc.) as an Engineering Intern. She immediately fit into the work force and readily accepted any projects put before her. She was quick to learn and very personable and well-liked by fellow-employees. At the end of the summer she returned to Pittsburg University to continue her undergraduate work. She made such an impression that management offered her a full-time position upon her graduation. Circumstances did not allow her to accept the offer at that time. However, we were able to bring her back to work in July of this year. She joined our team once again as an Engineering Intern and has been involved in a number of projects. One of her first projects was to assist with implementation of D365/ERP computerization of our operation. This is a major ongoing task as our Corporate office attempts to bring all of our sister plants under this umbrella. Antara was quick to follow this project, even visiting one of our sister plants for a week to study their implementation. In September of this year, we had an in-house scramble of positions at which time, Antara was offered the position of Process Engineer. Since that time, she has continued to work at completing her undergraduate work at PSU and has taken responsibility for issuing new base sheets following NAS and other customer specific standards and drawings, making corrections, helping with cost estimates for quotations, and various other Engineering responsibilities. She is also actively involved in our Safety First program of making Safety Observations to employees on the floor, thus stressing the importance of correct safety actions, and watching for Unsafe Conditions to report, and then following up with requests for corrective action. Antara has always been ready and willing to take on new projects, following them through to completion even when it requires extra time and effort. Sherri Watson Administrative Assistant HBD/Thermoid, Inc.

Antara is a bright young engineer that collaborates well and gladly accepts challenging assignments without hesitation. I have valued the opportunity to work with her as a part of the team at HBD Industries.
