Investigating the stage at which Life Cycle Costing (LCC) and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) should be implemented in a project to ensure sustainable technologies are implemented as a priority. A number of case studies were completed to compare a variety of roofing systems and their impacts on thermal efficiency, energy consumption and/or production, embodied energy and life cycle costs. Project Management | Data Analytics | Engineering | Consulting | Project Development | Market Research | Agile | Urban Well-being A collaborative project between Arup, Fujitsu and Australia Post that aimed to increase urban well-being using digital capabilities. With this vision in mind a web application dubbed "Notify.Me" was created. Notify.Me is built on top of Goggle Maps which displays disruption data (planning permits, road closures, public events, level crossing projects) in proximity to the City of Melbourne. This would allow users to then effectively avoid delays and also become more aware of activities in their community. Achievements • Proof of concept application developed • Exploration in to Data as a Service (Daas) • Winner of an internal award for "Innovation and Initiative" Show less

Developed a tool that would allow the environmental and technical services teams to better understand the nutrient loading of factory generated effluent. As the waste flows were to be used for irrigation understanding the composition was critical. To develop the tool comprehensive testing was completed as well as a factory wide mass balance. Coupled with a timeline of factory operations and simple inputs, the chemical content of the wastewater tank could be determined. Achievements • Predictive model supported by Microsoft's Visual Basic for Applications • Entering manually recorded data in to the tool • Mass balance based on product yields and cleaning procedures • Recommendations for an improved model and reduced chemical discharge Show less
