Under the direct supervision of the Chief Property Disposal Unit; • Assist to receive and verify items from SAU’s as per hand-over documents and immediate reporting of discrepancies • Participate in Board of Survey inspection property proposed for write off. • Identify, categorize and sort items on similar functions • Palletize, list, label and place items/ inventory in proper locations • Update bin locations in the database as items are physically placed on shelves and cages • Keep proper inventory of all items are physically placed on shelves and cages • Keep proper inventory of all items, physically verify on an interim basis • Enter written off equipment data in the property Disposal database • Prepare items in lots that are recommended for sale through bidding exercises • Ensure the removal of barcodes and any UN marks from items ready for collection by successful bidders and/or contractors • Keep the warehouse and storage facilities clean, well-organized and its space is efficiently used • Assist in monitoring the warehouse and storage areas on dally basis and report immediately incidents that may occur • Supervise other local staff and Individual contractor engaged in Property disposal activity. Under the direct Supervision of the CITS Assets Manager; 1. Managing and maintaining a comprehensive electronic database of expendable and non-expendable items using UN-DPKO enterprise systems; 2. Using the computer inventory management system (Galileo) to record and analyze stock and asset movement; 3. Monitoring the physical inventory of stocked items on a regular basis to ensure accuracy of records, and location of property; 4.
