In my spare time I serve as Head Coach and Lead Mentor for Ctrl-Z - FIRST Robotics Competition team 4096. In my time on the team I have helped manage a team of over 50 high school students, as they design, build and compete with 120 pound robots. I handle team logistics from training new students and mentors, to fundraising and budget, systems design, acquisition of shop space, and sponsor relations. I'm also the main programming mentor for the students. In 2014 I helped the team move to Python as their main robot language. I continue to help them with various programming projects. I assist the team and its student leaders find new outreach opportunities. In 2016 I helped start the Summer Youth Robotics Academy, a week long all-day STEM camp for underserved youth in our community. Show less

A Principal Technical Artist at Deep Silver Volition - my position after 28 years at the studio. I served as the Studio Architect for Technical Art on the Core Tools and Technology team, where I helped develop more efficient pipelines and tools for our games in-development. In my time at Volition I filled many roles include Lead Artist, Lead Game Designer, Studio Art Director and, most importantly, all types of Technical Art. From 1993-1996 this studio was known as Parallax Software. In 2000 Volition was acquired by THQ, then acquired again in 2013 by Koch Media as part of the Deep Silver division. Show less
