Rank the Vote is a non-partisan, 501c3 non-profit organization formed to empower people across America to rapidly build grassroots movements for ranked choice voting in their own states, creating the preconditions for successful ballot or legislative campaigns. Our methods are simple and time-tested: organize and educate regular voters so they can build capacity; rigorously measure results; and take careful, sequential actions to enact this common sense reform into law. Rank the Vote was founded by a small group of veteran advocates who ignited state and local movements for ranked choice voting. I authored the foundational document, "The Ranked Choice Voting Movement Playbook", then methodically launched new independent, autonomous statewide organizations in close partnership with volunteer advocates on the ground in 10 states. After securing seed funding, and building out a talented organizing team, I moved into an advisory role. Meanwhile, in just about one year, Rank the Vote has grown to over 20 state partnerships and has become a key strategic partner to the established national organizations focusing on this reform.
