Amazingly it's already 5 years since I last gave Adam a recommendation, and I think it’s time I updated it given the growth and mobility he’s had in his career since then. Adam was promoted to Art Director a couple of years ago, a role that requires more direct engagement with clients, a firmer grasp of good design practices, and also a willingness to develop our internal practices to become more efficient and impactful for clients. Adam works in a niche space. Corporate branding does not get the glory of consumer-facing collateral, but it’s just as important as it sets the tone for how an organisation is seen by its many stakeholders, internal and external. Adam’s response to this work has been outstanding, and I’m proud to have seen him create corporate brands in mining, renewables, finance, tech and mobility. Adam’s also a great design hacker – he will find workarounds and hacks to get an outcome, a hugely valuable trait that I don’t think can be taught and supports our mantra that we’re looking for growth mindsets at Cannings Purple.

Many-a-time I have peeped my head over Adam’s shoulder to witness his clean, unique and creative style whilst creating logos, website designs or images.
