Recircle is a waste management company that remanufactures plastic waste into consumer and industrial products via our semi-industrial shredder and injection machines. Recircle differs from traditional recycling methods in that we keep plastic waste local. In other words, we collect, sort, clean, and remanufacture plastic waste in the community it is consumed in. Starting at St. Francis Xavier University (St.FX), our aim is to divert plastic waste from landfills and oceans by creating a value-recovery system that empowers St.FX to manage their own plastic waste. This community-based solution to recycling does not yet exist in Canada and we hope to implement this solution to other academic institutions. Show less

I had the pleasure and opportunity to manage a 40+ working staff in a unionized environment throughout my time at university. I learned a lot about human behavior while managing employees twice or three times my age. I was responsible for scheduling staff, balancing cash-in cash-out, ensuring our menu is up to date, and food offerings readily available for all of our customers.

As a passionate foodie, I wanted to amplify Gabrieau's foot traffic. This beautiful restaurant is as local as you can get and our customers grew to know the value of supporting local. Our team created unique offerings that drew students and locals alike to come and try our menu for the first time. We grew our weekend table turnover 31% in 4 months. Brices Furniture is a family-owned Canadian furniture store that specializes in handcrafted custom furiture. All pieces are 100% solid wood that is hand-crafted from local Mennonites in southern Ontario. The sales strategy was unique because I would be with the customer every step of the way from designing, choosing, ordering, and even delivering their furniture. It's an intimate strategy that is very customer-centric and our team focused on retention to ensure life-time value from our customers. Show less

I was fortunate enough to handle the in-flow and out-flow of all car parts with Avenue Motor Works. This job was very detailed oriented and kept me very organized. The logistics behind car part transportation was a major learning opportunity for me. I was responsible for ensuring our warehouse was fully stocked and made sure our orders came in on time and regularly. Tree planting taught me that mental strength and grit always outways physical strength and endurance. Before this job, I was known to have a spectacular work ethic, but once I started with Outland that was truly put to the test. I now understand the definition of hard work. I now know I am capable of nearly anything because nothing will be as hard as working for 11 hours straight for weeks at a time. I was able to plant 55,000 trees in two and a half months. I fell in love with the "get paid for what you put in" mindset and went back for another contract a year later (May 2018). Although I had to leave a month in due to a season-ending injury and had to get surgery. Show less
