Research Assistant
-
May 2023 - Present
As a research assistant I worked under an esteemed professor at the University of Rhode Island with minimum observation over the work being done. I worked on determining how difficult it is to remove plastics from different types of bacterias by observing their reaction on a molecular scale. I worked in a lab where I had to create solutions, curate bacteria, use an AFM (Atomic Force Microscope), and analyze results. Tour Guide / Engineering Ambassador
-
Jan 2021 - Present
Tour guiding at URI is so much more than showing off our beautiful campus. As a tour guide I have been recruiting new tour guides, giving presentations to classes of students, working events, and of course giving tours of our campus. Not only that but this job allows the ability to learn skills such as leadership, answering tough questions and in turn dealing with difficult people, and collaboration. I have also become an Engineering Ambassador wich is very similar to Tour Guiding with a heavy engineering focus. Show less

Rec-3
-
Jun 2018 - Aug 2023
I have had the honor to work with Charlestown town hall and both of the beautiful beaches that Rhode Island has to offer. In the short 5 years that I have been with this staff I have managed to make my way up in leadership. Starting off as a beach attendant, moving into manager title by my second year, and my 5th year being a Rec-3. As a Rec-3 I was in charge of training all new employees as well as worked on the schedule to make sure everyone got their allotted times, being the last defence against aggressive patrons or any issues that might arise, and finally being there to assist all other staff members to make the days go by smoothly.
