Phonathon Manager
-
May 2014 - May 2015
Promoted through exceptional performance as a supervisor. As manager I report to the director of the Loyola Phonathon. I manage of all nightly procedures which include: loading calling data, maintaining connections with alumni via email, proofreading contact reports, and handling any technical difficulties or any other issues that may arise. Managers oversee a team of two supervisors (one on the floor with me and one monitoring phone calls) and 20 - 28 callers a night. Managers delegate and oversee specific tasks to supervisors ranging from keeping track of statistics, being in charge of social media, and handling decor around the office. We hold weekly staff and manager meetings where we identify problems that can be solved in a team setting. Managers also oversee the hiring and training process and we have final say on caller hiring. I am also in charge of training the new team of 5 supervisors. Show less

Phonathon Supervisor
-
May 2013 - May 2014
Supervisors report to managers in teams of three per shift, and fulfill one of three key operational roles when they work. In the call monitor role, supervisors must provide effective call coaching to callers. In the floor monitor role, supervisors promote an appropriate energy level and ensure procedural standards are met. Last, in the supervising caller role, supervisors demonstrate front-line leadership and premium calling skills. Furthermore, supervisors are key project facilitators. Each supervisor manages one specific supervisor job throughout their term. Supervisors attend weekly Phonathon staff meetings where smaller problems are identified and solved in a team setting. Annual Giving Intern
-
Jun 2013 - Aug 2013
I was a summer intern for the annual giving department at Loyola University Chicago. Aside from helping out with day to day activities I had a number of projects I worked on during my internship. I compiled 5 years of data and put together a report regarding what schools alumni donors made their gifts out to and how they gave those gifts (phone, online, mail, etc.). I did bench-marking on over 100 universities to research best practices in alumni weekends, graduate of the last decade giving programs, and recurring gift programs. I gathered mail and internet solicitation samples for and appeal exchange. I also updated the Wolf and Kettle Council website (http://www.luc.edu/wolf+kettle/) and helped prepare a presentation for the Case District V best practices in annual giving award. I gained a lot of valuable experience and knowledge learning from an annual giving director on how annual giving works and what it the job entails on a day to day basis. Show less
