Analysis over this time period included extensive elemental analysis using a range of instruments and wet chemistry techniques. Inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer (ICP-OES), glow-discharge OES, arc-spark OES, x-ray emission (XRE), x-ray diffraction (XRD), x-ray fluorescence (XRF), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and ultraviolet/visible spectrophotometry (UV/Vis) were just some of the instruments used, in addition to titrimetric reactions.
