As a glass artist, I operated a small, by commission, glass art business with a childhood friend. I took classes at the Pittsburgh Glass Center in Pittsburgh and enjoyed them enough to purchase my own equipment to start producing and selling art. In this position, I film and edit live videos and video podcasts using a NewTek Tricaster, I also create related graphics and secondary content using the Adobe Creative Suite, for upload to the MetroNews, Dominion Post, and Pikewood websites. As the Manager of Arts and Graphic Design at Mon Hills Records, I serve on the student board; I oversee the creation of promotional graphics, album covers, and other art needs of the company; I coordinate and distribute the work between myself and the other Art and Graphic Design team members; I also act as secretary/parliamentarian for the board of directors; and I work as a jack-of-all-trades, often commended by my peers for my willingness to take on tasks outside of my department.
