Adam is the Head of Product and I reported to him in my time at Calnex as Product Manager for the Lab Sync - Paragon suite of products. With me still being relatively new to the Time & Synchronisation industry, Adam demonstrated exemplary leadership not only by supporting and helping me come up the learning curve by providing me access to the resources I needed, but also gave me complete autonomy in the product decisions I made (backed by data and consensus) while also reviewing and providing input where needed. As a leader, he took a step behind, and let me lead and interface between engineering, sales, and key customer accounts engaging and keeping communications open while always providing guidance, insight, and support, acting as a sounding board helping me learn and deliver on the job. Adam has an innate way of working with the customer (both internal and external), moderating discussions, teasing out, and understanding the problem the customer is trying to solve. He is personable and has great storytelling ability which he leverages to make impactful internal and external engagement/presentations. He also genuinely cares about the business, his team, and their career development. In my time, we delivered gPTP 802.1AS in Neo-Release 6 and 400G PAM4 and 50G PAM4 in Neo-Release 7 which are key contributors to the overall business growth and success in FY 21/22. PAM4 is an important milestone for Calnex. It has been a privilege, great fun, and nothing but a pleasure working with Adam, and I have only learned.
