A summary of my role as a Religious / Jewish Studies Teacher is as follows: - Setting of aspirational targets for HPA, MPA and LPA students based on prior data. - Planning and delivering KS3, KS4 and KS5 lessons, to promote pupil engagement and learning. - Designing lessons with suitably differentiated materials and learning outcomes, thereby challenging all students, and ensuring students feel a sense of achievement and accomplishment. - Redesigning of the Department’s Religion and Ethics SOW for the EDUQAS A-Level in Religious Studies. - Liaising with other colleagues to prepare and deliver units of learning in a collaborative way. - Working closely with teaching / learning support assistants to ensure that suitably differentiated material and learning pathways are provided to challenge all students. - Contributing to the school’s timetabled Enrichment programme with all year groups. - Actively pursuing career professional development inside and outside of school; formal examinations in particular. - Utilising and conducting research to maximise learning. - Meeting with parents / guardians with regards to their child’s progress via consultation evenings, annual subject reports and communications home. - Safeguarding and pastoral support. - Form Tutor.
