  The Gruppetto Fund was founded by a group wanting to do some good while sharing their deep interest in the sport of cycling and a great admiration of professional cyclists’ determination to make sure that everyone gets to the finish line. A gruppetto is a group of bike riders who form at the back of the peloton in the mountain stages of tour races. The Gruppetto Fund seeks to assist young people by funding community organisations to provide programs and activities for young people experiencing disadvantage. Investing in young people benefits all of society. It is imperative that young people get the opportunities they need to thrive. Education, the arts and sport are powerful tools, providing positive role models, direction, friendships and opportunities for young people to grow in confidence and learn the skills they need to succeed in their lives. For young people who have experienced disadvantage these activities are vital in breaking the cycle of dysfunction. We raise funds to support organisations which create these opportunities.
