Responsible for the quality, co-ordination and control of the Electrical Service Team. To drive, lead, manage all LV and HV work in country and overseas in delivery of engineering support and sea trials requirements to ships of all classes. Due regard at all times to the provision of SHE and employee welfare. Operate safe systems of work that comply with company processes and procedures with regards general SHE and Low Voltage and High Voltage as Authorised Engineer to ensure the safety of all staff whilst managing and controlling sections activities to achieve multiple project deliveries to time, cost and quality. Responsible for budgets on agreed areas of work. Monitoring and controlling spends against planned and unplanned projects, overtime and overheads. Drive to achieve maximum performance by utilising resources, tools and equipment to full effect. Trained and endorsed High Voltage Authorising Engineer and ensuring all training and procedures including Royal Naval and JSP375 and are being adhered to across maritime services. Provide any technical knowledge when required. Responsible for the management, control and Delegate of Authority of the SQEP databases For Electrical. Maintain an effective rapport with the Project and Customer and provide information and advice to assist in the compilation of estimates, programmes and work packages. I have introduced the use of preventive maintenance, using thermography and motor analysis to a number of platforms and is now being used continuously to help save the MOD money and time. Also have mentored numerous Apprentices to further progress their careers.
