At Holdfast Metalworks I started as a fabricator on the shop floor. I ran our 3 spindle peddinghaus drill line after it's installation. I moved into the purchasing role in March 2013. I am responsible for procurement and tracking of all items for our daily operations in structural steel fabrication & erection. I schedule shop production to meet the demands of multiple job sites & am involved in manpower allocation for field work. At Holdfast Metalworks I started as a fabricator on the shop floor. I started in the steel industry as a labourer. While working here I started welding and became cwb certified for smaw, fcaw, & gmaw. In 1997 I started my fabrication apprenticeship. At this time we were a small company of about 6 shop employees. During my time here I had become lead hand. We were primarily a structural steel & misc metals shop.
