  Helped to establish a 48 month infrastructure roadmap to accommodate for the company’s rapid growth. Virtualized 80% of all physical servers onto a consolidated blade infrastructure running VMware ESX server. Moved all storage to an EMC Clarion SAN with Cisco MDS 9000 SAN switches. Designed and built an identical virtual environment at a remote site with asynchronous replication for disaster recovery. Installed an HA Call Manager cluster combined with CRS, Unity, Unified Presence, Meeting Place, and Tandberg H323 video endpoints. Implemented RFID as mandated by the FDA, using Cisco 4404 Wireless LAN controllers and the WCS management application. Replaced all Sonic Wall firewalls with Cisco ASA security appliances. Linked all authentication for 802.1X, VPN, and management interfaces to a Cisco ACS Radius server. Secured network resource availability with multiple carriers and clustered F5 Big IP Link Controllers.

  Responsible for the administration and installation of network & telecom equipment for 25 sites across the country. Telecom equipment consisted of 3Com NBX VOIP phone systems, Cisco 3560 series Switches, Cisco 2800 series Routers, SIP service gateways, Right Fax servers, carrier services such as T1/PRI/Metro Ethernet/Trunk Lines, and open source IDS/IPS network security appliances. Other duties consisted of processing all infrastructure and wireless bills into cost centers, maintaining phone lists and the Active Directory database, maintaining the routing of over 750 toll free numbers, continuity and capacity planning, project ROI reports, vendor relations, inventory tracking, and hardware order processing. Projects completed included the implementation of an MPLS Private IP network, developed and deployed an open source distributed sniffer network, developed and implemented an open source call accounting system, transitioned several traditional database servers to an open source architecture using MySQL for cost savings, implemented toll bypass services between remote sites for cost savings, and moved smaller sites to SIP services to cut back on traditional PRI circuits. Assisted company in liquidating assets upon declaring Chapter 7 Bankruptcy.
