Aided in the establishment of the company’s first gold fund which is due to be launched on the Maltese stock exchange. Spent substantial time meeting institutional clients & government partners. Formally recognised as a promoter of the fund by the MFSA in Malta. Acted as one of the main points of contact for the funds external investment manager AQA based out of Malta. Helped to lead a project to develop our own investment platform via a third party provider. Sat on the investment committee that short-listed pre-determined funds to be used by the advisory arm of the company. Met with multiple asset management companies to discuss setting up discretionary fund mandates for our advisers to use through our new investment platform. Produced weekly market updates surrounding macro-economic & Geo-political events that were provided to the financial advisory arm of the company. Liaised with existing high net worth trust clients in relation to their portfolios performance. Advised clients on changes to their portfolios based on the current global economic outlook. Participated in cross company projects with the venture capital & private equity divisions within Kharta Group. Main responsibilities included research, due diligence & financial modelling of target / acquired companies. Performed ad-hoc activities for our in house counsel & legal department. Gained a basic understanding of trusts & corporate structuring.
