Responsibilities & AchievementsI was employed to slowly take over machining from someone in the process of retiring, but took on more responsibilities after being taken on. A small team of us are responsible for installing all of brillopak end of line automation robotic pick and place machines. I am also part of a small team to build those machines in the workshop and also a machinist in the fabrication team, before they are delivered to the customers all over the country.I have gained trust with my skills allowing me to take on more responsibility in the workshop to build the machines and ensure targets are met while making sure high standards of manufacture are upheld. On site I have taken on the role of lead Mechanical Instalation engineer, along with the commissioning engineer ensuring the machines are installed to the highest standard and the customers are left happy with their new machine or machines depending on the order. I also have basic electrical knowledge, allowing me, working with electrical drawings, to assist with fault finding and Instalation.Aswell as installing new products we also attend customers sites to undertake services and repairs.

Responsibilities & Achievements Most of my time is spent in the workshop making various parts for water valves, actuators, mounting kits etc. Around 40% of my time is spent out on sites around the UK with the fitting team fitting various sized water valves, penstocks and pipework. During my time here I also undertook a mig welding course, to weld mild and stainless steel tube and profiles. apprentice tool maker

Sep 2010 - Sep 2014
Responsibilities & Achievements I carried out a 4 year Tool Making apprenticeship in the tool room for Boddingtons Plastics Ltd. Boddingtons is an injection moulding company that produced a variety of plastic products for a variety of different companies including car manufacturers and companies in the defence industry.During this time I was trained on the use of manual lathes, mills and surface grinders. I also had a small and limited amount of time on a spark eroder and wire eroder. Unfortunately I never got the opportunity to learn to program a CNC machine but would relish the opportunity to learn this.I got involved with the making of many different injection moulds, including drilling out long water ways, cutting cavities roughing out parts for the mould, then grinding those parts. This is where I got an NVQ level 3 in mechanical engineering and various sub sections to do with mechanical maintance, machining, grindinging.
