I remember being in full-time work when Adam was conducting his final year project. It was a really interesting body of work which focused on exploring machine intelligence principles and the construction of an ethical compass system for ethical autonomous agents. Interesting & scary is perhaps how I should describe it. Do not read if you are a conspiracy theorist!

Working full-time as a supervisor in one of the busiest sports bars in Leeds. My duties include serving drinks (and food during daytime hours), offering good customer service, handling money and dealing with stock replenishment. As a supervisor I also have many responsibilities such as ensuring the staff are happy, organising training and making sure everything is kept to a high standard. Although this is not what I plan on doing for the rest of my career, I believe it has given me valuable skills such as working well in my team under pressured conditions whilst still maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Mainly working on the internet banking website. I used my knowledge in HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP to create mock up pages, test requirements, and storyboards. I also had to test several pages extensively for errors and anomalies and to ensure that they fully conformed to web standards. Mainly working on the internet banking website. Working locally at Elland Road Stadium I had the responsibility of operating the exit gates, preventing overcrowding, looking out for any hazards, and generally maintaining the health and safety of the public. This role required me to be able to communicate well with others, and also work well as a team. I also achieved the ’NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Event Stewarding’. While doing my A-Levels at sixth form I worked part-time as a waiter/bartender at cave castle hotel. Various events such as weddings and conferences were held here, and towards the end of my employment I became more involved in organising them.
