"Plan, Build, Maintain!"...I lead the District's System Operations department, comprised of engineering and water distribution system operator professionals. Clackamas River Water (CRW) is a mid-sized public drinking water utility serving about 80,000 people (with wholesale) in unincorporated areas of Clackamas County, southeast of Portland, and east/south of Oregon City, Oregon. (Check us out at www.crwater.com.) We maintain nearly 270 miles of distribution and transmission piping, 14 reservoirs and 13 pump stations. Of the multitude of projects and initiatives I have managed in my time at the District, some of the most rewarding have been seismic upgrades at our treatment plant, completing a $30 million special infrastructure program in a 4 year timeframe (including 9 miles of piping, 2 reservoirs, and a pump station), installing an emergency generator and core electrical upgrades at the plant, and our recently-completed water system master plan, WTP facility plan, and capital planning strategy. At the heart of my work at the District have been teams of amazing people who share my passion to provide safe and affordable drinking water to our communities. Show less
