The A Cappella Workshop

  For each of the last 5 summers, I have run a summer camp for middle schoolers called The A Cappella Workshop. It is a one-week program that happens multiple times throughout the summer in which we teach kids music theory and vocal technique by singing together and we put on a performance for parents and friends on the final day. I have been a TA, teacher, and I am now a co-owner and co-president of this business. My duties as an administrator include building our website (linked below), handling communication with parents and students, managing funds, hiring and training high school students to be teachers/TAs, and publicizing the workshop to get signups. My role as teacher was similar to a camp counselor, but it also included a lot of music teaching, as well as arranging the songs for the group to perform. Show less
