I am a management consultant by profession, and a PhD in psychology by education. In our current company, I work as a Sr. Assessment Specialist, and Adam and I have been colleagues since he joined (going on two years now). In a recent business unit wide project, we assessed all employees and leaders, nationals and expats alike, to gain deep insight into their talent and to help identify key candidates for future opportunities - some of which are leadership roles. Adam's assessment results showed him to be quite an exceptional talent. With his permission, I quote the following from his test reports: (1) He has

Initially, my brief included taking control of Gen Re's eLearning, and exploring ways of enhancing its reach and impact. A year into my work here, Covid hit - so suddenly, the entire course catalog needed to be presented as eLearning courses. I've been pivotal in making this possible. The Sadara project is the biggest Petrochemical Plant ever built in a single phase. Working with the Curriculum Development and Certification department, we developed training programmes ensuring its safe and efficient operation.Coordinating with International Subject Matter and Career Development experts. Developing training materials to facilitate the running and smooth handover of the Sadara Petrochemicals Project. Working with external eLearning suppliers to procure suitable learning courses – specifying requirements and quality controlling the products. Specific achievements are:• Setting up and training the Digital Learning Team in the use of Instructional Design Software and Learning Design methodology. • Having seen the need for a new LMS, raising the issue to management level, obtaining the decision, and overseeing the implementation of the new system, including developing the training for all users.• Developed a modern ‘Look and feel’ for Sadara eLearning, including full design and writing guidelines to be used internally, or with external development partners.• Developed and implemented work processes for eLearning development across the organization. These specify how courses are requested, the development steps, and all interactions between the requestor, Subject Matter Experts and Digital Learning. In summary, there is now a Digital Learning Team at Sadara who are able to receive training requests from across the organization and design, build and deliver these requests as professional quality eLearning courses. Through the updated LMS, training coordinators are able to ‘own’ the courses and administer the delivery of the courses to their trainees.

Developing training materials, online and presentation, towards common European and Global Aviation Safety Standards.Taking the knowledge from international experts in various areas of aerospace and using their expertise to develop training that EASA can provide to Aviation Authorities worldwide. Developing training within EASA, enabling professional staff to develop their own competency levels in their own and different areas.Projects were as diverse as teaching aviation law, soft skills and technical subjects such as composite-bodied aircraft, or propulsion systems. I used a wide range of styles and techniques, from instructor lead classroom presentations to fully interactive e-learning modules.

Masterminded dealer training materials for the new Volvo V40. The first new model since Volvo's takeover, and the new model incorporated Volvo's rebranding, and their intentions to compete directly with the big four German manufacturers. Materials designed as part of this project were used by Volvo's CEO, Stefan Jackoby, in the Global product launch. This represented a major success for PHM, bringing training and marketing departments together for the first time. My courses are now global, having been translated into 15 languages and used by over 6000 Volvo employees in 150 markets.
