  I'm finally taking the time off that I promised myself about 10 years ago. Not exactly going hermit and living in a cave, but deciding to dance to my own tune for a while.At the moment that mainly means playing with a few Raspberry Pi projects (hurrah for cheap, tiny servers and IoT widgets with pretty blinkenlights). I'm also learning some of the newer hip software the cool kids have been talking about over the past few years, as well as some of the cloudy, devops tools.Also climbing and biking a lot more.

Learned more about Oracle, Hibernate, Spring and JQuery than is healthy.Also built some financial mashup projects using various Google APIs and card payment provider services.This was a full-time remote role, building on my earlier remote working projects, meaning I now have over ten years experience of remote working software development practices.
