I provide budget holders with financial guidance and challenge and constantly strive for a more commercial outlook to drive the departments towards the organisations strategic aims. I work with the budget holders to produce their annual budgets and quarterly re-forecasts challenging the numbers and providing a commentary of the overall sector movements to the Head of Commercial Finance and the CFO. Originally recruited as a project accountant on a finance re-organisation I moved roles to fill a resource shortage as a Finance Business Partner within the Med & Middle East area of the organisation. I assisted the budgetholders in understanding their phasing and the control of their costs. I also undertook project work in profitability analysis of various product lines making reccomendations to the Marketing & Finance managers. I then transitioned to the European Shared Service centre where I was involved in a systems project around the clearup of obsolete Purchase Orders and implementing Controls to prevent future buildup.
