Global Supply Chain Summer Intern

Interned as an Internal Consultant under the Global Supply Chain Department. I developed an inventory management algorithm for distribution centers. This reduced the shipping cost by 19% but more importantly helped in providing a faster delivery time to customers. Also, I used this chance to utilized my data analytics skill sets from my MBA program and past engineering experiences to pinpoint “hot spots” in logistic channels to reduce in-transit inventory loss. At the end of my internship, I was able to present my recommendations and implementations of my projects to executive leadership.

• Collaborated with marketing team on strategy to leverage customer analytics in elevating Google Adword click through results; strategy yielded a 4% increase• Established a new credit card system to centralize accounting data by meeting with merchant representatives to customize payment categories and set up website account to link 3 different merchant ID • Reorganized payroll workflow to improve work completion by 50% by delegating and training 11 resources for a smoother flow of information after researching bottlenecks in the process
