I began this work during lockdown and have really enjoyed helping to manage 10 acres of mixed woodland and wildflower meadows in the heart of Plymouth city. Tulgey Woods Sanctuary CIC provides home to various forms of flora and fauna that are cared for and managed by a team of enthusiastic volunteers such as myself. At Folly Farm I help manage 250 acres of natural countryside; by working as a team we provide access for the public whilst protecting the natural environment. There are four SSSI on the farm including semi-natural ancient woodland and flower rich medows as well as areas currently being managed to increase biodiversity.
