Programme Events Officer

May 2010 - Oct 2012
As a member of the Low Carbon Business Programme, a European Regional Development Fund programme, I worked with all local authorities across the Thames Gateway South Essex area and the National Industrial Symbiosis programme. The post was split across the accountable body, Thurrock Council, and the delivery partner, Groundwork South Essex. I developed, organised and run several workshops, events, and campaigns, and developed my environmental auditing skills to be capable of completing business audits that contributed towards the targets for the programme. I was also responsible for Groundwork South Essex BS8555 Environmental Management System, and gave business support with environmental policies and management systems. Show less

Community Project Officer
-
Oct 2001 - Apr 2005
As part of a busy and dynamic team I managed community led environmental regeneration projects across Hertfordshire and Harlow in Essex. I managed multiple projects, most with timescales of 1-2 yrs. Most of these projects had multiple partners and funders, which included community members, councils, private sector, voluntary sector, and housing associations. The Operation Manager and myself also led the trust through gaining BS8555 accreditation.
